I am desperate for some help, so if you could help I would be very grateful?

When it comes to the Review and critical analysis of the arrangements for managing health and safety, how did you tackle this? Did you answer under the headings in the guidance such as 'leadership', 'management' etc in text or do a table? The risk profile section, is what is really stumping me, how did you set yours out? I don't think we have any risk profiling which is my biggest issue I think!!

Any tips on any of it I would be very grateful for

Hi Riskrobin

Welcome to the forums

Hope your study goes well ../.

I am sure one of our members will assist in the near future, however if you search the forums using the search bar at the top right (search DNI) then there are over 100 posts that contain it, I am sure there will be some info in there for you ;) ./thumbsup..

Hi Riskrobin,

I too am tackling the DNI, its the last part for my diploma and I just want it finished. I've been told by my tutor that the assignment guidance is to be followed to a 'T'. So for the critical analysis of arrangements I have the headings of Leadership, management, worker involvement, competence, compliance and risk profile. If you read HSG65 it will help you out with this. I read it yesterday and seemed to make some sense.

I'm in the panic stages as I hope to get submitted for the August deadline but it's going rather slow at the moment. At least I have my three improvements I just need to write the 8000 words to back it up!

Hi Riskrobin and Morv88,

My course tutor was the same and told me to use those heading and stick to it throughout the whole thing. That's exactly what I did and it worked.

Have you got the NEBOSH 'example' report? I believe it's available on their website but it's a good reference for layout in parts. Also, it comes with the marks it received and feedback so you can see the good and bad parts.

Yes, HSG65 has a bit more detail under those heading but I basically answered the questions in the NEBOSH guide and at the end of each section of those heading, I wrote an analysis. This was positive or negative depending on what was in place and what evidence was available.

As for Risk Profile, I was in the same boat, very little in place at all. I wrote about the lack of this and this actually formed the basis of one of my recommendations.

If you already have your improvements, just make sure that the analysis is in line with those improvements and your recommendations follow on logically from them. I used a table for my recommendations as I found it easier to summarise this and put in the cost/benefit analysis.

Hope that helps a bit

Hello,

No, I don't have the example report and can't find it on the nebosh website. I'll have a look again.

I've hit the brick wall where half of it is completed but I just can't focus on it, especially in the evenings and weekends. Two weeks to get it together so hopefully i'll get there!

thanks,

Hi Morv88,

I've just had a quick look on the NEBOSH website and can't find it myself. I'm thinking it's maybe a document provided to course providers as a resource? In which case, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share it? Can one of the mods confirm.

Towsey,

Thank you! :)

I don't know about that but I'm glad I'm this side of it all. Although I am tempted by a Masters.

Hi Waterbaby,

the information attached to the link you send unfortunately only gives feedback on the exams and not Unit D. Believe me I have hunted that website for the report.

Neboshnoob- I do know the one you are talking about as my tutor had it but did not allow me to take a copy. I wasn't even allowed to look at it, hence the hunt for some sort of structure!

Due in a week and nearly there so will press on and hope for the 50% mark!

Hi WillPool,

The file above is not the one I was speaking of.

The one I have is an actual mock assignment titled Unit DNI Example Assignment.

On the front page it says that this is for both candidates and accredited course providers and should be read in conjunction with the assignment guidance, feedback and mark allocation sheet.

I'm guessing if it's not available on the NEBOSH site I'm not allowed to share. However, it doesn't say your course provider cannot.

If your course provider doesn't let you see it, its kind of a pointless document. They're not allowed to help or feedback to you in anyway regardless.

It says that it's been produced in good faith as an example of a pass standard.
