Re: Diploma Results - Due 25/9?
Got Unit A this time, back to Unit B and C in January.
Definitely the hardest exams I've sat to date, at university level on the same kind of exam I'd have passed all three and have the qualification by now. NEBOSH seem to be real sticklers in terms of marks.

Many thanks, Alexis. It's given me an enthusiasm for the next run now to try and be even more prepared.
Definitely challenging exams, very similar to professional entry exams to law societies and such, in level of detail they seem to look for.

Congratulations to everyone who got a successful result today and commiserations over the ones that got away.
Some people don't seem to grasp the significance of what we do.
it's unfortunate that NEBOSH can be seen as picky in their use of Command Words; but to be totally honest, I didn't worry myself about them too much.
What are there, 5 different Command Words, or is it 4 these days?
I only really gave 2 types of answers, brief ones and very long ones. It saved wasting time worrying about what sort of answer was required. But that was my method, I'm not advocating others should follow my example
Yep, well I guess that's the way it is; at the end of the day we are potentially dealing with life and/or death situations, so I'm happy that they are tough exams.EagleBeagle wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 12:32 pm

Re: Diploma Results - Due 25/9?
I think it will stand to me to be fair and I was told before setting out that NEBOSH was a difficult course but clearly respected by employers for it. It can get frustrating though as I've a colleague who came out with a post-graduate qualification which was so much easier in relation to the level of exams and the dissertation.bernicarey wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 1:23 pm Congratulations to everyone who got a successful result today and commiserations over the ones that got away.Yep, well I guess that's the way it is; at the end of the day we are potentially dealing with life and/or death situations, so I'm happy that they are tough exams.EagleBeagle wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 12:32 pm

I adopted a similar idea on answers as you suggest, and kept an eye on the key words. However, I suspect for B and C I might have tended to bring in one or two points which were relevant but not the core of what the examiner was looking for.
