Chartership journey begins ....

Post by JillyJo »

About to start my chartership - anyone else on this journey or thinking of going for it? Or maybe you have done it and could share your experience? Thank you

Hi.

Good news on becoming a graduate member, I recently embarked upon the journey towards to Chartered.

Are you doing the skills development portfolio (SDP) or Nebosh open book exam?

I started the SDP in August, took me about 3-4 weeks to complete. Found it quite straightforward as I already had the majority of evidence there, just needed to gather it all together.

I have my peer review booked now, so fingers crossed. .cheers

Now I've finished my Diploma and about to (hopefully) pass my probation period, I plan to start the Chartership journey in the new year. Does anyone have information about the topics/criteria that you can pick as I can't find the document available online. I thought it would be useful for putting together a work-plan prior to beginning it.

good luck!

Hi.

See link below, this guide gives you an idea of the sort of examples required for each criterion, IOSH are currently on version 6 however not much has changed since version 5.

Hello There !

Robborobbo I am doing the skills portfolio route - may take me a little longer to achieve than you (okay maybe a lot longer!!) as I don't have some of the evidence already but have a manager who is able to ensure I am able to take on work which will allow me to fulfil the relevant criteria. Will be good to keep up this thread to see how we get on and provide support. Hello ivilla - looks like we are going to both be busy next year!

Hi Rob. As long as it isn't copyright, then no problem to provide a link to it.
