Dropping in to say hello.

Exactly what the title implies......pop in and say "good morning" or "good evening". Any subject you like, post away and get your post count up. (Unless it's Monday, see below.......)

Dropping in to say hello.

Post by Gladiator »

I used to be here as Gladiator many years ago. I retired in 2010/11 and well, life has been great since I gave up working for a living. I'll not prattle on too much in case there is no one here that remembers me :D

Glad.

I certainly recall the name and am about to retire myself, so I am interested how 'not working for a living' is going with you?

I am looking forward to it and dreading it in equal measures (51% each) ;)

I am already getting job offers and its hard to say no

Well a huge HELLO to you Sir! .cheers

Not remember you??? How could we forget you Glad! Never! You were one of the backbones that helped take our HSfB journey forward in the beginning and your wonderful posts are still being used by others 16 years later! .salut clapclap

It's great to hear from you as always and even better to hear you are well and happy. :D bighug

We still have many many "oldies" with us and less older than you "newer" members who keep the HSfB special attitude of unselfishly helping others in whatever way they can. We appreciate every single one of them as we did you Glad.

John is away at the moment, but will be delighted to "see" you again.

Messy, believe me, retiring from being told what to do and the stress involved in trying to "play politics" is wonderful. It is only the thought that you are about to go settle into God's departure lounge that makes it a dread. This will not be the case, I promise! You will adjust by taking on a small role that suits you whilst still having time for yourself to enjoy new ventures. This is only the beginning! :) bighug

Hey Glad :D .cheers

The passing of time is amazing and HSfB time is just as amazing. People join the forums, ask questions, get answers and progress. New people join, get answers from the growing community, progress. Change in career, new career, starting out in H&S, but whatever it is HSfB has been there for nearly 20 years because of that community.

My actual point is, what you have given back to the HSfB community is astounding. From newbies to near retirees, your advice and encouragement has helped many many people save lives, and it will continue to do just that as more HSfB time moves on.

You are well respected and admired on these forums and I also know that extended throughout your career and work with IOSH mentoring and guiding to Chartered status.

I'm really happy you've popped in to say hello :D
