Thurs 7 Feb 2019

Exactly what the title implies...pop in and say "good morning" or even "good evening" and tell us what's on the cards for today or how your day went.

Having the day off as it's my birthday . Nice lay in, pub lunch and lazy afternoon, then celebrations at the weekend

I also get a pay rise today, as I travel for free on London's buses and tubes.

It's blinking ridiculous to subsidise my travel when I am employed full time and walk past 20 homeless people on my way in to work. So I have set up a direct debit to pay 75% of what I would have paid in fares to a homeless charity.

I still get 25% of my journeys free and the charity gets a few quid a month. It's a win win situation. Makes me feel better too as I cannot imagine sleeping rough with all you possess in a carrier bag 🙁

Nice one Messy .salut
It's the as same with TV Licences for over 75s.
What an arbitrary age and why not means tested in some way?

Pretty darn blowy here so far, though starting to drop. Good job too as we have our daughter's dog staying for a while as their fencing has blown down, and the dog will need walking sometime today

One of my clients (not on a retainer but jobs as required) has just been in touch about his new venture. He's got a Still on the way from China and is looking to go into Craft Rum Distilling (apparently Gin is so 'yesterday' as the market is swamped) 8)

Could be interesting.... I've asked for pictures of what's coming on the ship so I have an idea of the equipment involved.
I hope it arrives before 29 March with all this talk of WTO tariffs...
