FLT charging area

I'm trying to find an ACOP which tells me what the minimum requirement of eye wash is required for a flt charging area but can't find anything, could anybody help please?

Hi,
I don't think you will find anything as specific as that. It will all be based on your first aid needs assessment. I suppose you will take into consideration how big the area is and how many FLT's you have as well as the process for replanishing batteries etc.

Juan pretty much has it covered.
2 of my sites had battery charging machines, these were massive machines that took loads of FLT batteries.
We had a shower near there for emergencies.
Another site had just a few flt's and had an eye wash station nearby, 2 bottles in a container.
Ask yourself, how far would you want to walk if you had acid sprayed/splashed in your eye, take into consideration, how your vision would be affected, any obstacles in the way, location of parked up trucks, location of electrical equipment.
