Hi all!
I'm creating this thread as a kind of follow-up to the other thread I recently created concerning incident at work. As explained there, I'm going to have an interview soon for a compliance type of role. I've been perusing the internet for a good website where I could find good technical H&S questions and/ or scenarios that I could study and use to prepare for the real thing. However, my search came up somewhat short. Do you know any website/ videos that offer good interview preparation with technical questions? I've already prepared for behavior type of questions and questions asking about my experience. Obviously, I'm currently trying to freshen up my memory on regulations and etc, but it gets stressful when you're not one hundred percent sure what to watch out for and there are topics that I'm less comfortable than others. Also, I generally dread interviews, so my anxiety level is shooting through the roof.
By the way, the role is in housing, it's not a manager role, but it's rather senior. I expect questions/ scenarios about asbestos, construction, building inspection and fire safety and perhaps legionella. An there's also going to be an exercise to complete .
If someone knows good websites or videos, it would be great if they could share links. Or if you have any experience that you want to share, I'll be happy to listen. As always thank you for your help

Thank you for your reply! Yes, I've been going through those pages for the past few days. I feel like a crazy woman, trying to soak up information like a sponge.Waterbaby wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 9:09 am

Re: Interview Tips
Just bear in mind unless they have asked you to prep for a scenario or offer a presentation, there will be relatively little time to discuss too much in depth any one topic.
Unless I truly know what I'm talking about, one comment is that I would check my position as part of any investigation or against a policy/procedure etc would be to make checks of the standard places such as HSE guidance to ensure we are dealing with the most current views and legislation.

Re: Interview Tips
Not quite what you are asking, but:
Properly research the company. If they are housing-related, see if you can find any interesting new acquisitions or renovations that have health and safety ramifications and ask them what steps they've taken to address the ones that seem the most complicated.
This is what I did for my last interview, and found that they had just turned a high-rise into an over-55s block with a lounge, kitchen, laundry, gym, hairdressers etc. all sited on an upper floor. That was an absolute gold mine for me.

We often think that when we have completed our study of one we know all about two, because 'two' is 'one and one.' We forget that we still have to make a study of 'and.'
