Hi All,
Hope you are all safe.
Just wondered if anyone is using/ considering using the contact tracing app QR poster at their offices and even constrcution sites etc?
when i look online it only mentions "Venues".
and the website is isn't working or recognising Postcodes!
any thoughts.
i assume it doesn't matter to use it at a office or site and encouraging all staff to download the app
thanks
T

My understanding, and from the information available, offices and constructions sites are not required to display a poster. This is aimed at places with public access such as restaurants, gyms etc. In terms of encouraging colleagues to download and use, I think it is something we should do.

The app in Scotland doesn't use QR codes as far as I know - I'm not convinced people will scan a QR code every time they enter a building

Again, this QR codes assume people have smart phones. What are you going to do if they dont?

Hi,
Since COVID started and during Lockdown, our college was still operating. Under PHE guidance and local authorities, we had to have a contact list of all those that entered work. In a way our own track and trace system, this was incorporated into our bubble system or Infection Control Plan.
When the NHS released their Track and Trace, we have placed QR codes throughout the college for staff and students to use.
Now the NHS Track and Trace is not mandatory, so our system comes into play. We have already had 5 positive COVID cases in which those bubbles were collapsed and put into isolation for 14 days. This was done through our system and not the NHS system. Not saying the NHS system is bad, but having both working alongside each other is better protection to prevent COVID transmission.
So in answer to your question, if you can’t get the NHS Track and Trace to work, use your own, tracking who is coming in and if possible allocate staff to bubbles
I hope that helps

We have both our own system and I decided to set up the QR codes for both of our sites. If people want to use the app, they are more than welcome to. But they would still need to put their details in our system.
