Hi
Does anyone have a serious and imminent danger procedure that they are willing to share please? I have the excerpt from the Management Regs but really need a full procedure for use in a college setting (the latter not being important as I can always adapt it).
Thanks so much in advance!

Re: Serious & Imminent Danger Procedure
I see that as a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' question.
It would vary so much, depending on what the circumstances were.
You speak of a 'College', but the Serious & Imminent Danger hazards can easily vary from one to another. A college that specialises in Office/Administrative skills, will be a very different place from one dealing with Oil & Gas, or engineering skills.

Re: Serious & Imminent Danger Procedure
Your risk assessments are basically your serious and imminent danger procedure? But you may be looking for a Business Contingency and recovery plan.
A contingency plan is a road map created by management to help an organization respond to an event that may or may not happen in the future. The purpose of a business contingency plan is to help your business resume normal business operations after a disruptive event.
This is something that should be done at corporate level - not for the safety management team.

Re: Serious & Imminent Danger Procedure
Thanks guys. I was originally thinking along the lines of a BCP to be honest and in 20+ years of working in safety roles I have never been asked to write a serious & imminent danger procedure before.
I'll push back, thanks.
