Are there any construction gurus here (Scotland)?
This whole phased approach is confusing me.
They're saying we are now in phase 1 - COVID-19 Pre-start Site prep. Our clients have all this in place.
Next is phase 2 -‘Soft start’ to site works (only where physical distancing can be maintained).
BUT, It goes on to say "with a decision to move to ‘phase 2’ of the construction sector’s plan only after consulting with government to ensure it is safe to do so and in line with public health advice".
The problem is no one is actually saying WHO "the construction sector" is and how or when this Government consultation is to take place. Our clients have gone to great lengths to ensure everything is in place. They are a small firm working in a remote location so we're not talking massive construction projects with hundreds of staff but at the same time they want to get it right.
The guidance seems really poor to me

Thank you Waterbaby for the link.
Hi Ewan. Hope you are all well.
I was speaking to my neighbour the other day about this very thing and he, like yourself, cannot understand why he cannot go back to his job in construction when everything is is place to allow for the social distancing etc. No-one seems to know anything about getting back into work within Construction and agree the guidance just doesn't help.
If I hear anymore news on this, I will let you know Ewan.
