Online Course Suggestion

Post by stephen1974 »

So as of tomorrow i'm officialy on "furlough", however long that may last, what would be a good online course to study? nothing expensive but of reasonable quality. Fire would be preferable but unlikely to find anything of an acceptable standard in an acceptable price range, but anything would do.

Hi, I've been looking for cheap options too, seen some free ones but more towards Managing Safety level (NCRQ are offering it free currently). Did notice a free Level 2 Mental Health course if that is of any interest?

Hi Andrew,

I am currently in the middle of that Level 2 mental health course. 9 modules done, last 4 more to complete by 24th April. It covers everything from anxiety and depression to Schizophrenia and Dementia. I'm someone that's never really understood those with mental health issues so its been a real eye opener to me and I'm glad I did it. Would recommend it!

Regards

Glen

I have tried to enroll with Middlesbrough for the Mental Health course today but received an email back saying they dont receive Adult Education funding for learners from my location (NorthWest) so I cant enroll.

Quite disappointing really, was looking forward to that course.

LinkedIn just offered a free months trial of their online learning library. Had a brief look last night, saw a construction one and started in on that, but its American so whilst much is valid in principal, the specifics are probably not going to be that helpful. Have not had a chance to look through much of the library yet.
