IOSH South East Branch

Post by Blackstone »

Morning all,

Finally took the plunge and joined IOSH .cheers

I’ve been looking to find information on the South East branch.
IOSH website is not very helpful and the Facebook page has had no posts for a year.

Pretty sure I’ve seen people on here from the South East?

Any pointers greatly received! ./thumbsup..

Cheers

Hello,

I am a member of IOSH NE Scotland branch and on the branch committee, so I've had a search around the IOSH website to see what I can find for you on the South East branch.

IOSH have moved to the Eventbrite system for booking places at branch events and meetings. Here's the events page of their website with a link to the information for their November event: https://www.iosh.com/membership/our-mem ... ch/events/

Each branch now also has it's own email address for enquiries and making contact. The email for South East is: iosh-se@ioshnetworks.com. It may be worth dropping them a line there to ask more about the branch/meetings etc.

Hope this helps,

Wendo .salut

I am a member of the Thames Valley Branch of IOSH but not been to a meeting- maybe once I resurface from the assignment, get my CV sorted and can start looking for a new job.

Our page is here: https://www.iosh.com/membership/our-mem ... ey-branch/ which, depending where in the SE you are, may be worth considering instead of the SE Group.

I am kind of in the middle of some of the groups- Alton, Hampshire.

Yours,

Nell

Thanks for the info Wendo!
Couldn’t for the life of me find the right page. Will email them shortly.

Edit: I got a bounce back from that email address but I think Iosh-se(put the at thingy in here)ioshnetworks.co.uk is the right address ./thumbsup..

Hi LittleNell,

Think the Thames Valley would be a fair old drive for me and through the dartford crossing.
The SE branch meeting only a few miles up the road from me so going to try and get in touch with them.

Many thanks

Hi GLen,

Makes sense, it is hard sometimes with the IOSH groups to know the best one for your location.

I just thought I would throw the suggestion out there, but being the other side of the Dartford Tunnel I agree with you regarding the journey being a nasty one.
