Guys and Girls,
I am implementing a Work at Height (WAH) procedure at work. We have a massive skills shortage and I'm looking for recommendations for a training course or several. I need to cover the following:
- Risks associated with WAH
- The WAH control hierachy
- Use of harnesses and lanyards
- Rescue plans
The aim is to equip employees to be able to identify what is work at height, carry out a basic work at height risk assessment and implement control measures.
Is there a recognised course which would be a good one to look for (iosh accredited for example) or has anyone used a provider which has delivered something along these lines.

A WAH awareness course will give you guys the basics. From memory I don't think it covers rescue plans, that's a completely different level of training required

I've created our procedure, which I'm happy with and is similar to those I have used in previous roles. The difference being the skill levels of the employees in my current role. It may be that I have to look at several training courses and providers to cover the areas I need and that one that does them all doesn't exist!
So when the whole world is safe..............what are we going to do then?
