Canada is a 'Member Body' of ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, just as the UK is.
Their standards body, the SCC, lists ISO 7010 on their website.... http://www.scc.ca/en/standardsdb/iso/149026
So you'd expect safety signage in Canada to be compliant with ISO 7010, i.e. the same as BS EN ISO 7010 that we are all familiar with. The link above states that "The shape and colour of each safety sign are according to ISO 3864-1", i.e. just the same as BS EN ISO 7010 stating that UK signs are to "BS ISO 3864-1:2011" ...
So, in the last 3 weeks, I've been through both Calgary and Vancouver airports; in both of which the Fire Signage was Green, not Red
I just can't figure out why. Anyone got any ideas?
Fire signage overall was quite sparse, and in all the hotels we stayed in was of USA standards because that's what the Canadians always used to use.
It really brought home how good and relevant signage helps.
