Have any of you ever needed to communicate to staff etcetera regarding the presence, removal works or in response to concerns raised by staff around asbestos?
If so, would you be prepared to send me examples of these communications or advise who would be able to assist in formulating these.
Thank you
K

This really depends on the circumstances. 10 people in 1 small building is vastly different to 5,000 people on a large site.
How about a bit of an idea what you're dealing with?

Short answer, some asbestos is being managed, some removed and some has recently been discovered following more intrusive surveys.
Some individuals (Staff) have raised concerns about possible exposure; although the risk in these circumstances is extremely low.
Some other stakeholders (internal and external) are also concerned both regarding the negative view as well as the potential internal impacts.
Looking at comms with individuals who raise concerns as well as generally where works are being completed. The reason for comms to allay any current and future concerns. Not intending to write to every 'man and his dog'! I am inclined to not make a general communication but to respond to any concerns raised with a generic reply backed up by a face to face / telecom discussion.
Any thoughts?
Thx

Why not ask your asbestos contractor - or their HSE team to either deliver or supply all the information you need to share with your workforce? They are the experts and can supply the answers to any questions.
I have a concern that only answering individuals as they request could lead to other questions being raised from the replies and would therefore be a very cumbersome and extremely time exhaustive exercise
