Re: Train Your Staff - And that includes contractors.
Just because it's in the Evac Plan doesn't mean it's right. And there's also the aspect of interpretation of the English language. So take your use of the only mention of exits is to use the nearest one. The Fire Service read that and think "Great, people are going to use the nearest Exit to th...

Hello Emma I'm surprised you're having such problems. .scratch A quick internet search for your own words... case law examples associated with employers main duties under common law. results in several examples of websites giving examples of relevant Common Law Cases. Is there something specific you...

Good morning everyone. I hope those in the Northern Reaches are battened down OK. Bright and sunny in East Midlands at the moment, wind not expected to pick up until around Midday with rain following a couple of hours later. So it will be well set in by the time I have to go out to a Road Safety mee...

Re: Single doorway prior to double final exit.
Last FRA 2016 AND a building refurb since then???? The building works alone may be enough to trigger a review - let alone the time since the last review!! Is this an entertainment venue? I ask as someone was clearly counting occupants, but I can't see how a ents licence would be re-issued without s...

They could be walking along with their ipod in their pocket and land on it. Nothing in what was said to suggest it was a distraction. Yes, they could claim for damages to the ipod as well. They could claim for damages to it even if they didnt suffer physical injury. Chill Stephen, I was offering a ...

Re: Question about Liability
HI again, Looking at "but for" what about if the person falling over and say smashing up their brand new ipad as well as having the injury ? If the injury qualifies, would that mean possessions damaged too ? I guess the risk of injury is foreseeable, but the risk of someone damaging an ip...

Re: Any motorbike riders?
You could fit your bike with a GPS tracker and let your wife track it. I have one as a tracker on my classic car in case of theft. Cheap PAYG SIM required. The issue there is it is machine-static. I have too many toys... What? Do you mean it's only good to detect movement from the current fixed loc...

Re: Covid Risk? Saw your fire door in half - that will solve it!!!!
I have just looked her up thinking she must be completely ignorant of buildings and construction to find she has a 'Diploma in Housing studies' (whatever that is). She was probably late in the morning they had the fire safety lecture ;) They didn't cover safety, it's all bureaucrat stuff https://ww...
