Re: face fit testing

Hi All, Currently doing lots of work in this area at the moment. We have certain airborne contaminants that I need to protect from and after speaking to those who know, the best way forward for anything other than nuisance dust is to use an air fed system. So that's what we are doing. Face fit testi...

Re: acetylene pressure

I personally have removed Acetylene from all 3 sites I have encountered it.

There probably are situations that need it, but I've always been able to find a safer alternative

Re: Vending Machine Advice Needed

Thanks guys,

I had googled round the subject and came to the same assumption, but not my area of expertise so thought I'd check.

Another phone call for Monday then.

Thanks..

Re: Accident, Incident etc Spreadsheet

That's exactly the info I'm trying to develop. the problem arises when I come across a 3rd year apprentice who's very mature, thorough and sensible (currently 19) and a 35 year old who plays Fortnite and lives with her mum, (yes you read that correctly). How do I quantify the "What were you thi...

Re: Accident, Incident etc Spreadsheet

Hi All, I know this is an old post but I'm bringing it back because the topic is the same. I have built a spreadsheet to record and analyse accident data, it's deliberately very basic to enable root cause over big data and only records department/area of incident and type of injury. This enables me ...

Halon Extinguishers

Hi Guys,

Does anyone work with or have a working knowledge of Halon Extinguishers?

I have one that I do not need and was contemplating my next step.

Thanks in advance

Re: Cleaning wood dust off operatives

Hi All, Lets all take a few steps back here. Where is the dust from? Why so much dust? You mention LEV, can it be improved? Can the tools or equipment be improved with better extraction? (i'm a fan of the Festool range) Are we talking about fine dusts from sanding or larger shavings from planning? E...

Re: Racking inspection training

Hi Andy, I've looked at this in the past and ultimately decided we didnt have enough racking, most can be classed as shelving. So gave it some thought. If you do have lots of high bay racking at risk from FLT's or VNA Trucks then I would ask your racking supplier for guidance and build a checklist f...
