Hi all,
We have ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 and currently use BSI as our accreditation body. Is anyone else using a different body, I am finding that BSI have not quite come up to expectations and was wondering if there were any recommendations out there.
ta,
Scott

Hi Stretch,
We got 3M in to do our training. The "face fit trainer" course was 3-4 hrs for 2 of us.

Have a look at your chemical suppliers website, you should be guided by what they say. It will be a start for you anyway.

Re: Covid-19 temperature testing of employees
Hi Dave, I agree, I am recording all our guys temperatures, including contractors we have on site daily. I have their average temperature worked and set up a spreadsheet with conditional formatting so that if a temperature is entered and it is a full degree above the average it flags it up to me and...

Re: Covid-19 temperature testing of employees
Hi Stephen, To be honest, I looked for this when we set up our testing procedure. It seems to be that the digital forehead thermometers are normally associated with a non invasive way to measure kids. We are taking temperatures on the forehead in a consistent manner so the test procedure is the same...

Re: Covid-19 temperature testing of employees
Company overkill...… but it does ease the worries of the tester for sure. Safety glasses are standard for our work and the visor is a bit of reassurance which they appreciate.

Re: Covid-19 temperature testing of employees
I isolate them for 15mins, we have guys walking and arriving by bike etc. so yes, a false reading is a possibility. We use a different person to do the retest and even a different thermometer. It is either the GM or MD who does the second test and they make the on the spot decision to send them home...

Re: COVID-19 RIDDOR
What would be classed as "reasonable evidence" that it was caused by exposure at work?
Do you wait until 2 or more people in your workplace test positive? If only 1 other person gets the virus there can be no clear link, it could be coincidence.
thoughts?

Re: Covid-19 temperature testing of employees
We have introduced this at my work. We are using the IR forehead thermometers also. We test everyone every day and record the temperature looking for an increase through the week. The tester wears a medical mask, safety glasses, disposable gloves and a full face visor. There is also a screen we buil...

Re: PPE Disposal
We are segregating our PPE waste (masks and gloves) by providing separate lined bins for them. We do put them in the general waste skips, except Friday's which we hold on to until Monday pm as our skips are emptied first thing on Monday mornings. This way we have secured bags and it is more than 72h...
