Hi Becky and welcome along. Common Law in Scotland is used extensively in criminal cases such as theft, breach of the peace and assault. Cant speak for England im afraid.

Yes it is very similar. They touch on demolition and more on construction transport but other than that they almost identical.

Is the immediate cause not the fact that the IP came into contact with a sharp object causing the injury? The fact that they were not wearing the correct PPE would come later surely
