We have an issue with an Events company who run large scale events for us on site and safety advisor we bring in to manage the events. They want to set up a 5 fairly large marquees with a separation of 2m between them.

The first question should be is the step ladder the correct piece of access equipment for this task?
if yes what are you achieving by footing the step ladder e.g. if its to prevent someone walking into the ladder and knocking it over would a barrier be a better option to stop people ...

I would look on the resources based on the type/risk of work and the amount that needs to be done e.g. can one person run the H&S Management System and get out and about working with the teams out in the field doing the role or do you need 4 people to get all that completed.
