Hi - why not contact you nearest electricity network supplier - they have to fit grounding rods - I am sure they will be able to advise.

Hi Paddy - remember the figures you get from the supplier are the lowest the vibration signature will ever be as they have not been used in anger and are straight off the production line.

If the tool is older and has not been maintained, the vibration signature may be very much higher.

Please - whatever you do - ensure there is a risk assessment in place - get it recorded and get him to sign that he has seen and understood it.

Hi folks - my Latin has deserted me - what is the terminology I am looking for regarding "Injured party knowingly took the risk" and where can I reference it?

Nearest I can get is volenti non???but google not helping me!

How about you and him doing a lifting risk assessment together? Show that you take his complaint seriously - let you identify any weaknesses this person has. And record it!

Think about it - if he goes off with a bad back and you did not assess the situation after he has compained about it????
