Re: Site Waste management plan and policy

If you are new to the Environment part of SHEQ then the waste management plan is a great place to start as you can use this list to build up what needs waste transfer notes and what needs consignment.

Don’t forget to do your Duty of Care checks on the carriers and disposal points.

If the amounts aren’t high why not put them in car and take to your local HWRC. How are you storing them on site? If so mak...

Re: NCFE IOSH Level 3 Certificate in Safety and Health for Business

It will be interesting as they say it will be 66 hours of learning over the over 80 in NEBOSH. I tried to get a look at the book today and will try again tomorrow but they are very excited and the concensous was the fear of the NEBOSH exam may get people to see it as the easier option but it shouldn...

Re: Knowing when to give up

I think most of us have been through this, I find that I battle through in times of brick was but I always go in with realistic expectations as throwing money at a problem is a luxury quite often. My advice is this, if you are faced with a brick wall on safety issues that can not only put your emplo...

Re: £500 fine for using doggy Waste Disposal

A very small fine! South staffs council name and shame on social media including the residents who they have traced the waste back to and the fines are always £2000.

Re: Fly tipping in England

Fly tipping does not get the publicity it should get and not all councils communicate well. Householders: Leaving a fridge etc out for the cage vehicle tat man is risky, firstly a lot of these guys are do have waste carrier licences. They rip off what they want and fly too the rest and not to forget...
