Re: battery disposal or Recycling

These are classed as Haz waste so best be safe and get collected by a licence carrier, they will go on a consignment note but make sure you do your Duty of Care checks on them. If the amounts aren’t high why not put them in car and take to your local HWRC. How are you storing them on site? If so mak...

Re: Transport Statistics Great Britain: 2017

Re: NCFE IOSH Level 3 Certificate in Safety and Health for Business

I tried to get a look at the book today and will try again tomorrow but they are very excited and the concensous was the fear of the NEBOSH exam may get people to see it as the easier option but it shouldn...

Re: Knowing when to give up

I think most of us have been through this, I find that I battle through in times of brick was but I always go in with realistic expectations as throwing money at a problem is a luxury quite often. Re: Fly tipping in England

Fly tipping does not get the publicity it should get and not all councils communicate well. Householders: Leaving a fridge etc out for the cage vehicle tat man is risky, firstly a lot of these guys are do have waste carrier licences. They rip off what they want and fly too the rest and not to forget...

Re: Anybody else experience this ?

We have a couple of critical safety procedures that we have a one strike and you are out. In fact the reversing of a refuse truck without an assistant is so strict that if caught all the crew get sacked. We lost a lot of people and some got panicky due to losing drivers when they are like gold dust....

Re: Root cause analysis - presnetation and training to staff

I find the why tree confuses non safety people and we ended up phasing it out and replacing it with what we call a "Why4safety" it's a simple and faster process in my opinion and our root causes on investigations have improved beyond our expectations and all it is is a spidegrame but the form has a ...

vehicle cameras project

Vehicles fitted with 360 cameras seem to be getting more and more popular and as a company that works in refuse we find them critical in crew monitoring supervision from office, dealing with spurious injury and insurance claims (70% reduction) and more seriously violence and aggression against our c...
