Re: What client management software do you recommend?

maybe salesforce or something similar would meet your needs so long as the client records are kept up to date.

You could probably put something together using a simple database or even a spreadsheet if you are feeling creative.

Re: Ergonomic Risk Assessment

You could carry out a MaC analysis, there are risk levels depending on weight of box, height of lift compared to user, initial position of box, and number of movements.

the tool is available from the HSE website at
http://www.hse.gov.uk/msd/mac/

Hope that helps

Tue 27th Aug

Another day, another denarius. As I watch chaos prevail in politics, and tokenism prevail at G7, I can't help but reflect on how nice the sunrise was this morning, and how much I enjoyed the weekend. I've had a great weekend with my 2 year old grand daughter, she has so much energy. Someone has appl...

Re: NEBOSH or NVQ or NCRQ

Never did nebosh certificates, I jumped straight into the national diploma. if you want to learn about H&S in fileds other than the one you work in then I would say Nebosh is the best route. I have a very low opinion of NVQs. These can be easily obtained by presenting false evidence (ie a form t...

Re: Welding COSHH Assessments

You'll need to have the airborn concentration measured to determine the level of risk. There are WELs for some of it, and now all welding fume is considered a carcinogen, the reasonably falls out of SFAIRP so you just have to lower exposure as far as you can, containment (put it in a seperate room),...

Re: Welding fume and all things LEV and RPE

If it's any help, I use 3M 9100 airflow masks, and they seem to work well and survive the punishment... expensive though.
