I'd maybe suggest making contact with Keep Britain Tidy or Keep Scotland Beautiful. They are charities that campaign on environmental issues and will probably be a good source of information on where to get posters.

Condolences also to the Majors. I'm surprised that there wasn't a prosecution under s37 - with all the "no" parts you would think that there was neglect on the part of senior management... The amount fined + costs appears to be in the normal range for a fatality. There's just no visible culpability ...

I'm working on something similar at the moment and looking at a way to cement the knowledge for exam time.... I think I have a mnemonic for it in PEAL ( will be thinking about cranes lifting bells to remember it!! :lol: ) PEOPLE, EQUIPMENT, AREA, LOAD People: Competent planner, slinger, crane operat...

A case could be brought by an enforcement agency. The CPS in England & Wales or the Procurator Fiscal in Scotland would then take the case to trial. There are two types of trial - summary: judges alone - less serious cases, indictment (E/W) / Solemn (Scotland) - judge & jury - more serious offences....
