Re: Accident, Incident etc Spreadsheet

The Management regs define young person as under 18... I'd say that complacency is more of a response to individual circumstances than an age thing - it may also be the formation of poor habits forming in the work process with the old lags leading the newer staff members astray. If established worke...

Feeling productive - Have a new VNA checklist written, my to-do list for tomorrow written, all my emails complete and working through the little jobs that need doing... Just done a wee tidy of the office also. Now j...

Re: Friday 14th December 2018

Hi all, Had an eventful day so far - should have finished 2 hours ago but site manager rescheduled the weekly safety walkround.... Not flavour of the month today as I've just told the site that putting 2 people plus the operator into a VNA to do stocktake is not a very good idea.... Ho hum... Had a ...

As to being caught in jams, if it ain't moving, it shouldn't be using any juice. Unlike the clouds of pollution emitting from idling liquid fuel vehicles. ;)

Re: Racking inspection training

Hi all,

Thanks very much for this.
Have got a date booked in with SESS in January.
@Si - we have an external contractor for once a month... we wanted the ability to immediately assess any racking damage and undertake inspections with trained staff...

Cheers,

Andy

Re: Is This Considered a LTI?

For me it's going to depend on the extent to which the assault is work related. From the HSE FAQS: Q. Our receptionist was injured when she was hit at work. The assailant was her partner and the argument was about their personal life, not work. Is this reportable? A. No. Although acts of non-consens...

Morning all, Have to confess that a week of 4am starts is beginning to catch up with me.... beginning to feel like a bit of a zombie.... :sleepy3: Have a very close call yesterday in terms of a near push through - seeing the pallet behind judder was not my favourite thing in the world ever! (fortuna...

Re: Is This Considered a LTI?

Hi Anders,

I'd say no as it doesn't relate to a work process - it's been the breakdown of an interpersonal relationship and not something that the employer has done.

Re: Tuesday 11th December 2018

Hi all, Been on the go since 4 this morning - in early to brief night and early staff. Had a couple of nice compliments today - apparently I'm the first H&S bod that one of our guys has seen that "actually takes things seriously" and another said that it's "good to have a H&S person who actually kno...

Re: Free trial to HSfB members prior to launch of new TakeAIM app

Hey Grim,

looks good - quick question, does the app record how long a check has taken e.g. if a FLT operator just clicks through the system, would I be able to check that?

Andy
