Re: Cheese worker trapped is protected by cage on FLT

I saw 'cheese worker', 'trapped' and 'cage' and thought, that's what you get for trying to build a better mouse trap.

Re: My Master Plan

The question wasnt direct from NEBOSH. It was from a 3rd party that provides learning material.

Plan Do Act blah blah blah As i've been struggling to retain the information I need by just reading through course work i've decided to approach things in a different way and I am going to try and learn by answering lots and lots and lots of questions using reference materia...

Re: Advice on gaining NGC.

1 Are you only doing the H&S side in your new employ because it is a job? If so, then motivation cannot be taught and you will lose interest again. I've been doing health and safety as part of my various jobs now since 2003. I became IOSH qualified in 2007 and retook the exam in 2016. Generally this...

Re: Peep's and Geep's

This would be for specific groups that would come on a regular basis who have known issues. Not a major concern right now as i dont think we have any groups who would have a problem with an evac at the moment. It was just to have something in the fire safety policy for if they do and didnt want to p...

Peep's and Geep's

A conversation today involved the following discussion on peeps and geeps. Peeps are straight forward enough when they cover an individual who may not be able to follow your normal evacuation plan. (Or your geep) What do people use for groups? I've always used different geep's if we have disabled gr...

Re: Fire exit emergency lighting.

Thanks. That was my general thinking as well. As mentioned, the FRA was done by an external company and I think they were fishing for additional work a little bit with some of their recomendations. Nothing serious and all have an argument for, i'm just looking to double check on whats a must and wha...

Advice on gaining NGC.

Hey all. Some time ago, 2013, I bought an e-learning course to get my NGC. I failed miserably. Didnt even attempt the exams. I should have been able to walk part 1 in my sleep having done H&S for a long time, been IOSH qualified for 10 years, etc etc and when reading through the course work it's not...

Fire exit emergency lighting.

Hi all, Just started with a new company and i've been looking over their fire risk assessment, which was done by an external consultant. I don't have any issues with the assessment itself, just wanted to ask about a couple of items they raised. 1. Emergency lighting over fire exit. Does the sign ove...
