Re: Health and Safety KPIs for Managers

How about things like Managers having to complete 1 safety conversation on the shop floor per week. If they are office based it gets them on the shop floor, if they are based on the shop floor then they go to another department. Also, conduct a safety audit/inspection (or a 5S audit)one per month, j...

Hi all, I have taken a hankering to do some further training along the lines of human factors or workplace psychology, has anyone gone down this route with regard to training, especially online just now. Would love to hear your thoughts on courses, I am not interested in a degree level just now, dip...

Re: ISO Certification

Morning Chris, We have just had an audit completed (ISO9001 & (ISO45001) and looking at the report our senior management team are confused as to some items brought up as either OFI or comments. One, why were these points not raised in previous audits as it has been a long term shortfall in the s...

Re: Health and Safety: One Year On

Morning Chief, Well, learning curves don't come much bigger that what you find yourself in. From no experience to being the go to person was always going to be tough. I think the majority of people on this site have had these trials and tribulations, and some continue to do so. I am delighted to see...

Re: iosh-accredited-behavioural-safety-course-elearning

Morning TWDB, I did the course last year, it is laid out in modules and there is a wee test at the end of each. The final test is a combination of questions from the modules. It was a decent course, I knew a bit about the subject which was fine as it reinforced my thinking but there were other topic...

Re: Fatigue

I remember doing a 6 month stint as follows; 3x 12hr days, then a 24hr, then 3x12hr nights, 1 rest day then repeat, 96hrs per week. Tiring to start with then soon got into the swing of it.

Re: Face coverings grey area

We have been wearing face coverings at work since May (manufacturing site) this was part of our return to work protocols.
It is quite funny seeing other regulations coming into effect when we have had them all along. I guess we had a belt and braces approach.

ISO Certification

Hi all,
We have ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 and currently use BSI as our accreditation body. Is anyone else using a different body, I am finding that BSI have not quite come up to expectations and was wondering if there were any recommendations out there.

ta,

Scott
