Environmental Risk Assessment template
Hi - I'm fairly new to Environmental risk assessments having just completed the NEBOSH EMC to supplement my H&S Diploma. I've identified that the environmental risk assessments we are using at present don't really come up to scratch and wondered if anyone had a risk assessment template they coul...

Re: NEBOSH Diploma E-Learning
Don't underestimate the time, effort and self-motivation required to do a Diploma over distance learning. It is a real struggle! If you are going down that route I'd advise you to get the NGC under your belt first - you'll need a solid grounding not only in H&S but also the "NEBOSH way"...

Re: Diploma Done: Over-All thoughts (Mine Only)
That’s a really good summary of my thoughts on the whole process as well! I was further hindered by a provider that offered nothing more than some course notes riddled with errors and an exam booking service. I was glad to get the Diploma finished, and learnt an awful lot along the way, but really d...

Best bag for a mobile Safety Manager
Here’s a random one.... I am a safety manager for a large organisation with responsibility for a large part of Wales & NW England. I’m always on the road, and never know what I’m going to have to deal with when I arrive. So I need to carry loads of kit /laptop / cables / paperwork etc etc.... Ha...

Re: Diploma Unit A study guide book
I did buy books for all 3 units - the ones published by RMS Publishing. I did so because the course notes supplied by my course provider were total rubbish. I guess it depends on how good you think the material is that you have been supplied. I know for a fact that I would not have passed the Diplom...

That last week before the results deadline is a killer!
I hope that when the results do come out, everyone gets the results you are after. Keep us posted and I look forward to sharing in your successes.

Re: Unit D legal environment question
I scored quite well in this section. My focus was quite industry-specific, but in case it helps you find some direction, I laid it out as follows: 1) A brief overview of how Statute and Common Law applied to my organisation (But focusing mainly on HASAWA s.2 s.3 and s.7 and the scope to make Regulat...

Re: Unit D - Gap Analysis
HSG65 has seven headings (POPIMAR) HSG65 adopted the Plan, Do, Check, Act methodology in 2013, so I think POPIMAR is out of date now? I had exactly the same issue when I came to do my Unit D, so decided to use OHSAS 18001 as I felt it gave me more scope then HSG65. I found that by using the heading...

Re: Nebosh Diploma - January Exams
1) Aside from the examiner's reports and NEBOSH's guidelines for command verbs pdf, are there any resources available on example sample answers (even if doesn't regard H&S, just any sample answer). Just something to show how in-depth/organized an answer must be? Is the perfect way of answering ...
