Re: Covid-19 temperature testing of employees

Thanks for that, sounds similar to my thoughts. Do you send them home straight away if they fail or give them a chance to cool down and perform a re-test? It's getting warm out there and we may get false results. I guess if they fail consistently that is sufficient for them to get tested straight aw...

Covid-19 temperature testing of employees

Has anyone implemented this and if so what process have you implemented regarding the safety of person taking the measurements (we're purchasing the IR forehead type testers), the safety of the test subject and procedure for retest or sending home etc? I've searched here and on the web but not findi...

Re: Difficult Fire Drill

Not sure if it states anywhere a "safety drill" must be physical. As you have planned out, a discussion over how employees would exit the building and what difficulties there may be / where they need to go and what to expect to happen could constitute a safety drill. Certainly testing of e...

Secondment of employee

Two of our employees are working for a large utility company installing our product under secondment. Normally we are just a subcontractor and all of our employees are audited by our site auditor at least annually to ensure they are following RAMS etc. However, a customer manager has objected to us ...

Delayed lost time

Hi, I've tried to search on this but unable to find what I'm sure must have been discussed before. We've had an injury at work. Shoulder muscle pain which was reported but considered by the individual to not be serious. They went on to work another day but reported that they were getting pins and ne...

Re: Does CDM apply to us?

So hanging pictures would also constitute construction? It seems to me that para 14 indicates that not all of Para 13 operations are necessarily construction. And therefore surly, IF not done as part of a greater project, could then be considered as "not construction"??? ../. 14 Some const...

Does CDM apply to us?

Our company install small electronic devices to walls by use of a battery drill / plugs / screws etc. Our client is asking if we follow the CDM regs. I have always ignored them as I wouldn't call the work we perform construction. However, I cannot find anything that explains what constitutes constru...

French tender translation

Hi, I've been asked to respond to a large tender and part of this is to generate a quality plan. I'm fine with doing this normally, but I do not speak French. The tender is in French and we are having it translated. I want to be really careful in translating it back to French. Can anyone recommend s...

Confined Spaces Overseas

Hi, I have looked on this forum for answers and ended up reading many interesting posts - wish I had visited sooner. I wonder if someone can advise on this... We have some sales engineers who have for many years now been travelling overseas and assisting customers with installing our devices into co...
