Witsd/Messy,
Thanks for this, I understand now why there is no definitive structure to follow. Guess that airing on the cautious side and having more than you need looks like the better way to go!
I really appreciate your help
Mark

Requirements
Hello, Really looking for some help on this, whilst my manager is on holiday the directors have asked me for a list of things which legally have to be in place when purchasing a new building/venue. They/we have apparently been stung in the past with regards to hefty bills to correct work which had n...

Re: Allergens
Hello, Here are my thoughts on this: If the food items are given out in their original packaging then you are ok regarding the 'may contain allergens warning' as all the allergen info should be on the wrapper. If you are preparing it (taking it out of the wrapper and heating/cooking/making) then you...

Re: Help - Dance School
Please do not hold back, would rather read and think that's covered than not read and wish someone had written it. The 'customers' are not really left to their own devices, they may have to wait outside the dance rooms until a class starts and regarding the children they are mainly either with paren...

Punch Bag Machine
Hello, After your thoughts and guidance on something. My company is looking to buy and install one of those punch bag machines ( put your money in, ball pops down and you whack it) in one of the seaside venues but are worried about possible claims being made out against the company by people misusin...

Re: Site inspection during interview
Hello Cad,
In my experience if you see anything positive, comment on it. Whether it is good housekeeping, correct lifting technique and so on. I would be really interested to hear how things have gone.
Good luck!
Mark

Re: Blue Plasters
Hi,
The blue plasters contain a small metal strip in them to ensure they are picked up via metal detector. The colour (as said before) is a visual thing.
Thanks

Re: Inexperienced graduate
Hello DicksonK, Being persistent is the key here as well as putting yourself out there to gain the experience. I passed my Nebosh General cert and was in the same boat and it took me 5 years to get a position in H&S. But in those 5 years I involved myself in as much H&S as possible whether i...
