Re: A very special day - 31st July 1974

First time I have posted for ages, however worth posting for. However mostly thanks for keeping the roof over my head and putting...

Re: Stress RA?

Hello Brian,
You have already answered your question! As for the actions taken, it would very much depend on the circumstances of each case. The HSE publish a very good and free Stress RA. Just go to the main site and type stress in the serch bar.

Hope this helps

We have a firm come to do this (NHS Trust), however they have let us down a couple of times. My Boss and myself ...

Re: Chemical/gas dectors (Healthcare)

quick up-date. I went to Sandown for the H&S event and am getting, Honeywell and Shawcity to get in touch regarding VOC monitors. Shawcity told me that their sampling tubes are cheaper than Drager and if we decide to go with them, they would replace the Drager pump with one of theirs, free of ch...

We have a lot of volunteers at the hospital I work at in the UK (not quite the same I know), however the principals are the same. We have a Trust-wide young and inexperienced workers RA in place which is reviewed evey year, below is what we concerntrate on. Training: decide what (general H&S and...

Re: Disposable face masks for organic vapours

Many thanks jonsi & Keith, I do know what you mean about the xylene use, however the fact that they were not using anything other than having a window open and an exposure monitoring badge, get this- once a year! I think it's going to be difficult getting them to spend money (yes I know!!), beca...

Re: Disposable face masks for organic vapours

Thanks jonsi- I know what you mean about the xylene, however they have to use it (the worrying thing is that they have been doing this for a number of years with no protection). Picking your brains (sic!) I have been looking at the Moldex series 3000 reusable mask FFP3 D ventex valve, any experience...
