Re: Pulling my hair out!

Re: Pulling my hair out!
I've seen these before: https://www.thesigndepot.co.uk/The-Sign-Depot-Noise-Activated-Sign-Hearing-Protection-Must-be-Worn?search=noise%20activ which seem pretty good in theory but never used them personally.. I'd love to get these. Had not seen them on my search. Unfortunately the budget doesn't s...

Re: Pulling my hair out!
The approach so far seems a little woolly to me, no offence. Providing some training on the defects of noise and allowing staff to select appropriate PPE to me suggests that the risks and controls haven’t been reviewed and identified correctly. What are the exposure levels, do they actually exceed ...

Hi Penfold, Not seen that one! Something like that but maybe a little less budget busting :) I've seen these type but none of these fully meet what we are looking for: https://www.amazon.co.uk/30-130db-Display-Hanging-Decibel-Measuring/dp/B07M9XHTH3/ref=asc_df_B07M9XHTH3&mcid=0c1d07021cc63143bf9...

Pulling my hair out!
Ok so i'm pulling my hair out (or would be if i had any!!) with this one!! We have 4 areas on site that have potential to exceed 80dBA. Not on a regular basis but often enough to think about it. We've given all operators in the areas training of effects of excessive noise on hearing and they have se...

Yeah i'm fine thank you just really annoyed!
I always prefer glass half full so putting a positive spin on it...its a part that can easily be replaced unlike roof, bonnet or radiator!

Re: Monday - 04 March 2024
Morning Will and all, Interesting morning so far! A 1h20 drive to work that normally takes 40 minutes. And to add to the misery windscreen got hit by a large stone that i see coming causing a huge impact! Means i'll be £100 lighter and working from home Tuesday and Wednesday until it gets rep...

Re: Upgrading Nebosh Certificate to NEBOSH construction Cert
From memory, if you do another certificates course within 2 (maybe 3) years of qualification you don't have to re sit the first module/part.

Re: Man cages (fork lift safety cage)
Man cages should be LOLER inspected every 6 months if carrying people and there definitely should be a risk assessment for using it. Agree with Grim's comments above on pre-use inspection too. I had a least one at each company i've worked at. I've seen them used really well :) and very badly!
