Re: Acetone/IPA cleaning

No the things that are being cleaned are held in the hand, that's why gloves should be worn, finger cots are used by some but not others, as acetone is not a sensitiser it's not a requirement to wear anything really, but as it is used regularly I want to find an option that ensures standardisation, ...

Re: Acetone/IPA cleaning

Thank you for your informative replies! A bit more detail, the acetone is used for cleaning small components, very small so the dexterity is very important. Latex isn't an option anymore, so currently using nitrile gloves, with a breakdown of about 4 minutes, so not ideal at all but at the minute th...

Re: Acetone/IPA cleaning

Haha unfortunately not the ale

Cleaning small components by hand with acetone is a big role where I work and I'm just wondering if anybody else has experience in it and what, if any, PPE requirements they have. Just generally after an idea of how it's possibly done elsewhere

Many thanks in advance

Re: Diploma Done: Over-All thoughts (Mine Only)

GWB Your timescale and results sound very similar to mine as well! A and D caused me least problems, B not too bad but C was my absolute nemesis! Over the years I've now realised I want the diploma only to help me start a MSC in occupational health. The diploma might be partly to blame but the safet...

Re: Which Unit did you personally find the hardest?

Unit C! I didn't mind Unit A, I also did A level law. Unit D I found the easiest (if you can say that about NEBOSH anything!) but Unit B and Unit C I think vary depending on your experience or previous/current work environment. Unit C for me was so difficult as I had no real in depth knowledge at al...

Re: Diploma Unit c Pearls of wisdom

That was just like me, Unit C was my nemesis, it was the unit I had the least experience in. I finally passed but I constantly went through past questions and material provided by my TP but each time it gave me a separate area to revise and that way I managed to cover a lot of the topics. Also by go...

Re: NEBOSH Unit D - Hazard Choice & Risk Assessment

For identifying my hazards I did a table 4 columns; the hazard in relation to a job e.g FLT's driving around, the hazard category e.g health welfare/physical the hazard category e.g workplace transport the implications/risk e/.g competency of driver, collision, overturning Then I used the HSE matrix...

Re: Diploma complete!

Morning It's not the training provider, it's NEBOSH that provided the email with results. It's usually always a week or so before the official results day. Also I received my letter from NEBOSH in the post on Friday with my result breakdown. I'd call them and check as they may have incorrect email a...
