Is this a near miss?
I have been involved in a local medium/large size event with a main ring where different type of transport drives into the ring parks up in a line for people to take photos from behind the pedestrian barriers. My question is, One of the vehicles weighing over 8tons drove into the line up and then ha...

Re: NGC1 and NCC1 Exams: 8th and 9th December
Grae I sat mine on Friday Some nasty questions (well they were to me) What breaches did the supervison and employee do and the negligence x 6 question. Had a blank on these put something down but only a few lines so on my reconing that might means I only have a possible 84 points on offer as these w...

Re: Pnemonics
Doing a bit more revision for my exam NGC1on Friday and seem to be able to remember acronyms better than spider diagrams, however, I'm not sure where POCMAR fits in Management of HSW Regs POCMAR – Planning Organisation, Control, Monitoring And Review Do I need to know this one for NGC1, if so, which...

Re: Methanol - Storgae of Small Quantities
As we all know marking containers is a must. I was a motorcycle sidecar passenger competing in Grasstrack racing in France. The bikes were run on methanol. We were waiting to go out on track when there was an explosion. We went to investigate and one of the riders mother was badly burnt and still be...

Re: NGC June 11 Refer
Now I have slept on my results perhaps I am being a bit hard on myself. Last time I did any education type exams was in 1988, since then I have only done PC based tests. I guess I did have to learn everything to NEBOSH standards in just 13 days spread over 4 months. (With work commitments a holiday ...

NGC June 11 Refer
Any one find June's NGC difficult? Just received my NGC results today and I am bit disappointed NGC1 34% NGC2 58% NGC3 62% I must have picked a bad time to take NGC1 as the pass rate has been 72% to 75% since July 09 the time I took it was down to 58% I knew it was a difficult paper but thought I wo...

Re: My practice at a Practical report, incl feedback (REVISO
Well I handed my NGC3 in on Thursday, I am quite confident I will reach more than the 60% mark. Once I get my result in August I will then give some feedback on the pitfalls of doing this task. Don't want to say how it went and what I did to complete it until I have the result. One thing I will say ...

Re: Goodluck for today's exam NEBOSH guys!
I agree with Blackstone NGC1 was really difficult I did not feel I had revised much of this at all. Bit of a bonus having a hierarchy of controls in the 1st question  If it was an 8 mark question then I managed to give 8 answers. Time was against me to really take notice of the action verbs but...

Re: STUDY
I agree with Jack I'm on week 9 of my collage course and finding NGC2 easier to understand as I can relate to situaltions where I have worked in the past (and reallised how dangerous I did things) :( Being doing some revision while watching the GP and I am now starting to answer questions without my...
