Re: ISO 45001 - Nonconformity & Corrective Actions
The term non-conformity doesn't just mean actions found during audits. It can be any deviations from your documented systems.

Re: RAMS Query?
If there was an issue and the contractor and yourself were in a court room and were asked "Why were the risks from the planned hot work not covered by the risk assessment?". What would the answer be? The risk is foreseeable and without covering foreseeable risks how can the risk assessment...

Re: Management review meeting
You can build the Management Review subjects into any regular management meeting(s). As long as you cover the requirements of the standard you don't have to have one massive meeting every year to do it. It may be that you cover the requirement elsewhere throughout the year.

Re: Anyone work in accident investigations
I've never come across a role that is exclusively accident investigation. When you say you where you can go is limited, what is the limiting factor?

Re: GAP analysis of H&S in a company
There are tools on the BSi website to map against 9001, 14001 and 45001. They might be a good start?

Re: Reducing Accidents story
That's a great result. Has the data gathered from these highlighted a commo0n job or type of job being undertaken? Are the jopbs being undertaken already subjected to a Risk Assessment or are they non-routine?

I'd be asking the PC for updated drawings on where he wants the fence routing to avoid it.

Any chance you could share a photograph? i have a colleague who worked in water utilities and he might just be old enough to tell us!
I'll only tell him that we're using him for his age after I've shown him not before!

Re: Size of a SHEQ team in a compnay - Based on Turnover?
I'd be looking to carry out a gap assessment on the businesses H&S performance currently versus where they want to be. This will then give you an indication of the workload required to get the business where they want to be and hopefully can use this to assess the workload and required resource.

Re: Some staff don't wear shoes around the office - Looking for helpful legislation
I have to say that I have previously preferred to remove my shoes when at my desk. I could get my shoes on in less than 10 seconds so if the fire alarm went off I don't consider it to be an issue. I remained at my desk and didn't go wandering around an office or a floor of a building. I'd be looking...

Re: temporary works
Hi all, just bringing this one back. I have recently become a Temporary Works Coordinator as part of a new job. I have been on a training course for the role but the quality of the training was poor. I am waiting on my copy of the BS5975 document to come through. I'm looking to drive the business I ...
