Re: Nebosh environmental management diploma
Hi Lyle, I also did my Environmental Diploma course online and found the books difficult to follow and online training very basic. I received high marks for my practical but failed my written exam by 3 marks. I re-sat the exam in July so waiting for the results. After my first attempt I used governm...

Re: Fire Extinguishers in Tractors
Thanks Hard hat and Berni, all valid points. When I conducted my assessment I took into account the fact that most documentation regarding workplace transport requires a fire extinguisher i.e. minibuses, combines, some of the plant I've seen have extinguishers mounted to the rear of the cab and I'm ...

Re: Fire Extinguishers in Tractors
Hi Messy, The tractors are used within a land college environment. I completed the RA on behalf of the dept and based the requirement on the fact that most vehicles these days carry extinguishers and the HSE guidance stated Combines were to carry extinguishers. The budget to pay comes from someone e...

Fire Extinguishers in Tractors
Hi all, Can anyone provide a reference as to where it states fire extinguishers are required to be fitted to tractors. I conducted a RA and reckon there should be one and I'm waiting on a reply from the insurers but the Manager for the area states no legal requirement and objects to cost of fitting ...

Re: Environmental diploma distance learning
Thanks Alexis and Berni,
I'm hoping that having completed all the environment courses at RAF Halton a few years ago and the NEBOSH Environment certificate only two years ago it will all make this course easier.
Cheers
Ty

Re: Environmental diploma distance learning
Hi all,
Just started the NEBOSH Environmental Diploma by e-learning through RRC. Just wondering if anyone had any examples of the Practical report that's required for Part 2 or any good websites you may have used during revision.
Cheers
Ty

Re: Convincing the Board to complete H&S training
Thank you all, some great information. Because the Board are volunteers they do not class themselves as employees and see the Principal & CEO as the guy responsible for everything even though the Board oversees decisions.
You have provided just the information I need.
Cheers

Convincing the Board to complete H&S training
Evening all, Trying to get the volunteer College Board members to complete some H&S training but the Clerk of the Board has argued that they have completed Safeguarding and don't need H&S. [smilie=dweeba20.gif] I have pointed out that the Board members are the directing mind in the college i...

Re: Health surveillance
Hi all, I started a new job last Sep and the organisation's health provider had a contract up to Feb 16. This contract is now being reviewed and out for tender. Documentation from assessments shows lots of money spent on individual assessments i.e. Lung function tests, audio tests, skin tests...
