Hi folks. I noticed the qualification exemption for holding NGC states..."Qualification Nebosh General Certificate - Dated Before Dec 2009 Only (NEBOSH)"".

What's this about, why prior to Dec 2009?

Re: Policy Wording - Employee Vs Colleague??

Given the master/ servant relationship, I'd use employer/ employee with reference to visitors and contractors.

Doesn't the qualification simply meet the academic requirements towards GradIOSH, other aspects will also need to be met.

Re: How far can in investigation go?

Re the sending of recorded del communications, I make a point of never accepting R/D mail unless I'm expecting a del of some sort. Recorded del is for the senders benefit so unless I know what it is, the mail will go uncollected.

Re: How far can in investigation go?

If the injured party has been signed off work as unfit then this should be respected and alternative means considered to wrap things up from an investigative perspective. I certainly wouldn't be turning up at his home.

Re: Storage of items in Plant room.

Have some consideration for the maintenance guys who may have to work here. Plant rooms being used for storage is a pet hate of mine, there is a danger of everyone's unwanted rubbish ending up here, better not to start this practice imho.

Re: Electical safety

An inspection may record that they are not to current standards, that doesn't necessarily mean the installation is unsafe.
