Re: RIDDOR

Site manager contacted the IP to see how he was doing. IP said that the anxiety was not due to the accident. We've therefore not reported.
My feeling is that if the anxiety was as a result of the accient, then it should be reported.

RIDDOR

Hi all We had a minor accident on site a few days ago. The IP attended hospital, was patched up and discharged. There will be no lasting damage thankfully. He has not been back to work, other than to submit accident details and help with our internal investigation. Today he has handed in a sick note...

Re: Hand Sanitiser Warning

Wow Mick, you've made my head hurt just reading your numbers. So according to the SDS, Ethanol, >50%, <100% Glycerol, >1%, < 2.5% Methanol, > 1% < 2.5% The ethanol could be anything between 50% and 100%. That's terrible. Sorry if I've blown your mind! it shows that chemical safety around a simple h...

Final Exit Door Direction

Hi All I think i know the answer to this, but wanted to check (it is Friday after all!) We have a small laboratory (mostly aqueous stuff, very limited quantities of flammables) usually occupied by around 3 or 4 people. There are two fire exits from the lab. One, back to the main corridor and out to ...

Hazard Awareness Training

Hi folks Hope you are all keeping well and safe. I've recently changed jobs and the bar is pretty low safety wise! I'm starting a project (one of many on site) to raise safety awareness generally & try to slowly change the culture. I'm getting the production team to put together their own daily ...

Podcasts?

Just wondering if anyone here listens to any safety podcasts ( I know the HSE has one).
What do you listen to & are they any good??

I listen to some business / productivity related ones, but they are all american - I dont want to add US safety stuff to my listening list really!!

Cheers
Mick
