Re: Gate Runners
Hi all, In light of the gate and nearly seriously injuring a staff member. After investigation, it was found that the gate falling over was not a result of a component failing. it was a combination of operator error, poor maintenance and a design flaw. What's being done ( FYI) - Back stopped removed...

Re: A noise survey.
Hi, The cheap option is to do the survey yourself and use the free noise calculator on the HSE website. You can pick up a good noise level meter for around £200. If you have money, you can pick up meter recorders that collect the information and then upload them to software that prints off your asse...

HI would look at HSE for general information. if you have already looked there and left with more questions than answers then try the British Compressed Air Society (BCAS). Hi all, I am having a moment and require your assistants. I have a very heavy gate at work. The other night the security was securing the gate when the runners gave way and dropped the gate. Re: Fire Category
Thank you Messy,
I personally believe the system is an L2, due to the location of the existing fire detectors.
I shall start hunting for the completion certificate.
Again thank you.

Hi all, After some help in this matter. I am reviewing a company's Fire Risk Assessment and noticed it states an L4 Fire System Category. Re: Face coverings grey area
Hi Molly, In my workplace (college) the principal made the discussion that face coverings are to be worn at all times. We have other procedures in place to go alongside this. So answer to your question, the Government give the guidelines, but if the boss wants to add more that's their decision. This...
