Open side car parks (public)

Is there anything specific (or even remotely associated) with fire safety guidance is open side public car parks? I cannot see anything in the HM/DCLG guides? ADB talks a lot re. smoke / heat ventilation, but in particular i'm looking for guidance on 1) the requirement (if any) for fire alarms (due ...

Repeater Panels

Dorgards

This is a question which has been prompted following a F&RS audit on a premises - office accommodation in Central London. Built 1800's with refurbishments over the decades. Dorgards fitted to cross passage fire/smoke doors along corridors. Comments made by F&RS were... "Dorgard Units are no longer f...

Flats above shops

Please could someone give me a steer on guidance to use for fire safety in mix occupancy (shop / office on ground floor and residential flat on first floor). Not purpose built - was a 1900's dwelling converted approximately 1950's. I've been looking at LACORS and DCLG/HM Guidance for sleeping accomm...

Access to British Standards

Hi

Does anyone know of anywhere that can supply BS's on a 'pay as you use' basis??

The Glasgow Library and Manchester sites appear to have withdrawn access?
