I recently completed my Fire Warden Training and my certificate lasts 3 years before I would need to be retrained.
I would state however that all training providers are different and course certificates can vary.

Re: CSCS and CPCS
Morning Rigout
If the operator has a Blue CPCS card that is still in date then this will act as his CSCS card. Once this is up for renewal he will need to re-sit his Touch screen test along with the renewal questions for each category he holds.
hope that helps.

Re: Fire Extinguisher Signs
Thanks for your input Extankman.
It was always my understanding that although foam extinguishers could be used it was just not recommended on electrical.

Thanks for your replies Zman.
This could be something that we could look into
still my brain as to why this is such an issue to take 15 minutes out of a day once a month.

Re: Reaching all staff.
Our Memos are very similar to our toolbox talks. The Memos tend to be more generic to cover the group and all operations we undertake. Toolbox talks are to be more relevant to the area/job the employees are working on. Im struggling to think why these memos can not be completed and are being ignored...

Re: Directors safety courses? which is best?
I will second Coldrop's recommendation - Weve recently sent 5-6 Directors on the 1 day IOSH Directing Safely: Saftey for Senior Executives and had nothing but positive responses.
