Re: Twenty years ago this very day!

As far as I remember I joined in about 2006/7 and have met some absolutely wonderful people from here in that time. Without doubt this has been one of the most important pieces of my life. I thank both of you for your amazing support and friendship throughout the years and can’t believe it is almost...

Re: Scottish Police "No Beard" policy

Not sure they have thought this one through at all. How on earth are they going to be able to do FFT’s for all Frontline staff when they don’t have the time to go to calls. Most divisions are losing up to 30% of their staff through natural wastage and it’s not being replaced(more in some areas). Ano...

Re: Public advised to cover faces in enclosed spaces

Again what is not made too clear is that this guidance applies to England only. The ascertain for a govt minister that everyone else will follow suit is wishful thinking.

Just a quick heads up for all those who will be looking to sit or are currently studying for a Nebosh Certificate. NEBOSH yesterday released a statement that all future exams will now be open book and rather than the traditional exam paper, the NGC1 assessment will now be your written response to a ...

Re: Command word confusion

Identify is word or phrase and that is sufficient. Make sure you have a copy of the action verb guidance as this clearly spells it out. If your instructor says he is marking like that it’s no wonder the marks are poor as he is clearly not following the guidance students are given by Nebosh

Re: Terrorism attach - company policy and procedures for workers

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/project-griffin/project-griffin Project Griffin was previously issued by the Govt and gave advice for companies and staff on what to do in the event of a terrorist attack. Although it has been withdrawn there is still some advice here. I have the previous ...

Re: Welders Air Fed Respirators

Just a note of caution from me on the use of LEV. According to the new wl3 control of weld fume guidance, it depends on the size of the piece you are welding. This is what they say for large pieces LEV for welding on large and extra-large workpieces These are workpieces that are typically too large ...

Re: NEBOSH refresher training

I agree with Will. No refresher is required for NEBOSH as its meant to be up to you to do your CPD. Daily use of what you learned on the course should help keep you current. Again I agree that IOSH MS would bore people into submission if they have already done NEBOSH.

Re: CPD Evidence

Keith
Have you been to any local safety group meetings or IOSH meetings? They count towards CPD.
You can use the fact that you are a moderator and give input into the site as CPD as well.
