General cert - organising for H&S

Post by andybz »

Item 3 on the general certificate syllabus is 'organising for health and safety.'

I am presuming this considers the 4 c's (control, co-operation, communication and competence) as described in HSG65. I would also expect it to cover issues allocating resources.

Am I on the right lines? Is HSG65 a good reference for Nebosh or should I look elsewhere.

Thanks

Unit 3 is about defining roles and responsibillities, from the MD to the shopfloor including the role of the competant person and advisor

relationships within and outside the organisation, such as union reps, HSE, police, fire auth, insurance companies, the supply chain

In no disrespect to Col on what he has said, (cos e is correct) I am picking up on HS(G) 65 and your reference to it; yes, it is an important guide and one that I would advocate you revise on appropriately.

POPIMAR

Run some searches here on HSFB you will find plenty on it.

Good luck

Above is an example of answering a question you thought you read, not answering the actual question asked

I hope you all picked up on my delibrate mistake ;)

Make sure you all read the question twice on the exam papers before answering :D
