CPD Edinburgh IOSH Branch Webinar on the Science of Slips, Trips, Falls - 9th March 2023

Post by Jack Kane »

I've registered, this looks quite interesting and it's a hot topic for our place just now.

Email from the Edinburgh branch today with links to register.
Good day all, fantastic news and some exciting branch events coming up in the next few months. Please do stay tuned.
First and foremost Christian Harris who is an experienced Speaker and Slipologist – bringing proven science to the problem of slips and falls. The founder of Slip Safety Services, he is on a mission to prevent 500,000+ slip and fall accidents annually across the globe.
Slips are often overlooked, misunderstood or simply deemed inevitable, so Christian focusses on explaining that slips are serious, scientific and stoppable. Christian is also the host of the Safety And Risk Success Podcast.
We are excited to announce that on 9th March at 19:00 Christian will be covering the very broad topic of Slips, trips and falls and sharing some of his knowledge and extensive experience within.
We are extremely fortunate to have Christian present to the branch and take time out of his extremely busy diary to share his expertise with us.
In this webinar, Christian Harris, founder of Slip Safety Services, will explain the 6x causes of slips (CHIMES); cover the trip triangle; and share some best practices on how you can minimise the risk of slips and falls in your building(s). Clients using these strategies average a 57%+ reduction in accidents, injuries and claim costs.

We are excited and looking forward to what is set to be an excellent opportunity to learn from Christian.
