Anyone have any Class 3 Laboratory info?

Post by ScottD »

Hi all,

I am looking for info on the following - "Identify the key HSE requirements for setting up a new Class 3 Lab and how you go about implementing this"

asking for a friend. :D

Step 1 ..... Go to HSE website and search Class 3 Laboratory
Step 2 .... locate document "clinical-laboratories"
Step 3 ... Read, inwardly digest and implement....

Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974
Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995
Consulting employees
Duties to non-employees
Lone workers

etc, etc, etc

That's what I did when studying Diploma....

Yes, done all that, but was looking for someone who works in this environment to get some personal insight and experience of the actual working conditions.

Thanks...

Well that's good then; perhaps should have mentioned that you'd already got that and were now looking for a more involved insight to supplement that info.. .salut

Like with all problems, it's nice to have all the relevant information, it makes Mondays, and probably most other days, just so much nicer. ;)
