Bereavement - Frankie C

Post by Jack Kane » Mon Jul 09, 2018 8:36 pm

It is with so much sadness that I bring you the news that a very dear friend of HSfB, Frank Cooper (Frankie C), has passed away early this morning.

A brief message appeared on Frank's Facebook account from his family.
Dear All,

Sadly in the early hours of this morning our dear Frank passed away comfortable in his bed after long battle with illness.

He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Kindest Regards

Elaine & Sean
Frank was one of HSfB's earliest Forumers and joined us on Wednesday January 19th 2005. Frank immediately became a fan of HSfB and I became a fan of him, his expertise, his respect for others, his passion for H&S, his achievements and his absolute dedication to helping others achieve the best they can be.

We are all so very lucky to have Frank post in our forums 3,730 times. That's 3,730 of pure Frankie C gold, impeccable knowledge, vast experience and amazing humour. Frank also donated several prizes (out of his own pocket) to our monthly prize draws, always good quality educational books to help give people a chance to get started.

I'm proud to have shared this forum with Frank. I'm so glad I knew him here and I'll never forget the day I met Frank at the H&S Expo in Birmingham. I heard him before I saw him! That's one gigantic unique laugh for sure!

A true legend in the H&S world, a true legend on these forums and a true legend of a gentleman.

I would echo everything Jack has said.

Frankie C will be missed by many many people the World over.

A true Gentleman who would freely offer help to anyone, even without them having to ask.

His heart was just as huge as his booming laugh. He would expect me to put a wee smiley here now to celebrate his fun disposition and his way above average laughter tone. Definitely above the noise level limit!

The World will miss this very special, non-judgemental, health and safety professional who has given so so much to all who met him.

Sending all my love, thoughts and prayers to Elaine, Sean and all his family and friends.

Rest in peace dear Frankie. I will miss you. We have been so privileged to have known you in our HSfB Family. :love9:

Some great words of wisdom from Frankie over the years and a frequent contributor to the Daily Topic for many years as I recall.

Condolences to the family and to offer a few words akin to those that might be used in military circles...

You may hang up your Hi-Viz Frankie C, your final shift is over. .salut
