Australia and the NEBOSH Qualification
Hi guys/girls;
Just a quick question:
Is the Nebosh General/construction Certificate valid as an entity in Australia or would further study be required over there ( I ask as a lot of British Qualifications require an Australian equivalent which requires further training)
Yours sincerely a nearly Ex-pat

Hey Nemo,
Welcome to the forums
I have no idea I'm afraid, I'm guessing not, but others will have more of a clue than me.
Glad to have you with us.

Auz is strange really, as generally it does not recognise the Nebosh range of qualifications; think about it and it makes some degree of sense.

Nemo,
Give IOSH a call and ask to speak to someone who deals with the "International Group".
They may be able to help you.

Re: Australia and the NEBOSH Qualification
Hi,
Are you trying to use as a qualification for your visa? For a H&S Advisor (50 points) you will need to go through VETASES and they only accept a degree although this can bizzarly be in any subject.
Although if your not stuggling for points there is a 40 point job of Safety Inspector I haven't looking to what this required though.
The jobs over there tend to ask for cert IV (4) which is like the ngc and there are some colleges that do this distance learning so you could do before you go, or a H&S Degree (studied in OZ). The cert IV differs according to state so an idea of where your going would be needed as laws differ.
Hope that helps
