Enquiry on a typical outline question

Dear All,

Question is about to outline environmental features to show to customer.

The answer I can think of is the transportation use to deliver materials as the emission would contribute to global warming.

I was quite confused with the content of "Why" (the reasoning) which I need to elaborate. Can anyone please enlighten me on this? If my reasoning is wrong, will I get any marks for the above?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Stephen. We need a little more information please.

Is it about the environmental issues that are involved in transportation of dangerous goods and what precautions you would take?

Hi Alexis,

We are required to outline features to consider in our proposal of constructing a recreational park and submit the proposal to persuade a client to award the construction project to us.

Thank you.

I am hoping some of our Environmental people will come in with some help Stephen, but in the meantime my thoughts for what they are worth would be:

1 Control of emissions as you said.
2 Control of possible contamination to water in the area. (bunding or suchlike)
3 Control of your waste.
4 Energy efficiency on your use of energy.
5 Environmental noise pollution.
6 Plan in place for dealing with any Environmental emergencies. (contact local environmental officer)
7 Storage of any toxic substances etc.
8 Correct signage.
9 Appropriate fencing to ensure no animals or children can access the area under construction.
10 Appropriate storage for environmentally sensitive products.
11 Use environmentally-friendly building materials as much as possible.
