Missing Avatars

Post by Jack Kane »

Some of you for some reason are missing your avatars and I've been looking into this for a while now, but not really coming up with much.

Can you please post in here if your avatar is missing and tell me if your avatar was one from our standard galleries or if you uploaded it yourself.

I'm going to ask the phpBB3 forum support for help fixing this for you.

In the meantime, hold fire with changing your avatar as I may be able to restore you to full glory soon. ;)

Thanks.

John :D

i think i have only ever noticed the Keith's was ever missing but not sure if he uses one or not now. Could it be down to what search engine you use (i use firefox)and i haven't noticed any obvious ones missing certainly Chortlon's dancing MC hammer used to come up as it always made me laugh ( simple things). I tend to know every one by their avatar as opposed to looking at their names so it was a bit odd at Christmas when everyone uploaded new ones.

Red, no it's not explorer specific, this seems to be an issue with the files of the forum software itself. There are similar issues described in the phpBB3 support forums, but I need to gather more info so they can help us out.

Keep 'em coming folks, this is all good stuff, thanks so far :D ./thumbsup..

Using firefox i don't get any red X or the box where the avatar would normally be it just displays the text, Probably why i haven't noticed.

If jack fixes the problem i hope i will see dancing MC hammer back

In the meantime i will get my fix this way

Maybe we could wear gold sparkly trousers at the H&Sexpo .geek

You could lead us in the Dance BANNED USER.

Mine isn't missing - I deleted the Christmas one and can't make up my mind who I am going to be in 2011.

Mine went a while ago! It was one I uploaded myself! Any progress with finding out what happened to them?
So when the whole world is safe..............what are we going to do then?

A bit of archaeology now (i.e. digging up ancient posts) but Keith's avatar is STILL missing. Gotta admit: at first I thought it was some clever non-avatar that we mere mortals don't get. :)
