Sorry I've been quiet last month
Well hello one and all not been on line through Feb, after being side swipped by a car whilst on my motorbike as I was going through a roundabout the bike has been written off and I was very nearly too even though I was only doing (put the at thingy in here) 35mph at the time in fact when he came in from the side my thoughts were dam but I should roll off at this speed then I'll give him a piece of my mind when I get up - that was before I tried to wrap my back around either a sign post or a lamp post. Ended up with 5 RHS ribs, deflated RHS lung, 3 LHS ribs, both shoulder blades LHS clavical, ruptured spleen and cheese wedge fracture of L8 vertabrae spent 25 days in the major trauma ward but came home this week. Had a couple of bad days due to being tanked up on the morphine until I started to see double, cricket balls going up and down the walls, talking to some old dear called Maude and watching swarms of red ants on the ceiling tiles. Aintree regional trauma unit were fantastic they couldn't do enough for me any concerns and they'd run me down for a cat scan etc anywheys photos attached show one when I was obviously under the effects of the morphine and one this week at home.

OMG!
Of all the things I thought you might have said when I saw your post title, this certainly wasn't it!
At least you are here, could've been much worse (easy for me to say, sorry ).
Take it easy and get yourself sorted.

to what Messy said and Jack too
Sorry to hear about what happened to you but glad you are now at home recuperating
Moved your Topic to "The Recovery Room" rather than The Canteen as a way of highlighting your misfortune and subsequent recovery (innit)
Take care and virtual (but gentle) to you

Get well soon bud ,from a fellow biker
It is better to be careful 100 times than to get killed once.

Blimey!
You take care now. Like Jack said, it's not what usually follows when some starts a topic with 'Sorry I've been quiet...'
I hope you don't get messed around by the insurance companies.

Re: Sorry I've been quiet last month
Well aseveryone says getting better is the priority, but I am a big believer in looking on the bright side. Plenty of time to sit on the internet and find a replacement bike, in and amongst spending time reading each and every post on here ofcourse!
